Donna is from West Gippsland, Victoria. Born in Jindivick, inspiration is drawn from the farming and bush land surrounds.
The organic, obscure, imperfect shapes and form of the landscape, the myriad of colour and intricate patterns that nature exudes, are prevalent throughout Donna's work both consciously and sub-consciously.
The current focus of her art journey is the exploration of contemporary, abstract and semi-abstract art. She wants to create interest with colour, shape, movement and texture, ultimately capturing the aspects of nature, like the dabbled shadows of treetops on the ground, the obscure shapes and enchantingly colours of the rich countryside and its flora.
“My work is about capturing and emanating emotion from the strong connection I feel with this area. I’m clearly influenced by my surrounds and the beautiful colours and forms found within the exquisite Gippsland landscape I live in.”
Donna is looking forward to developing future pieces and series representing the beautiful, natural countryside and bushland forms, lines, curves and colours she is surrounded by.
Donna is also interested in exploring, developing and studying different art techniques and mediums. She loves exploring and pushing her boundaries and limitations trying to extend her personal growth and experience.
