Poona Lake-rainbow Beach

Description : Poona Lake, near Rainbow Beach, is a perched lake like Lake MacKenzie on Fraser Island. The lake's banks are lined with twisted paperbarks, sedges and reeds. Its waters are stained red by the surrounding native tea trees which makes swimming an adventure. When in Rainbow I always take the magical walk up a rainforested sand dune and then down to the secluded lake where one is greeted by a gorgeous land tongue overlooking the lake. The shadow colours change as the sun moves and this makes it a very special place to sit and be. Painting is sold framed and ready to hang and includes a certificate of authenticity

Heidi’s journey with Australia began in 1988, when she moved from Zürich, Switzerland, and fell in love with the country’s laid-back lifestyle and breathtaking landscapes. Enchanted by the vastness and rugged beauty of her new surroundings, she soon began expressing her impressions through art, particularly oil painting.

Now residing in Brisbane's outer region, Heidi draws endless inspiration from the surrounding bushland and its vibrant wildlife. Her works blend these landscapes with experiences from her travels, infusing her paintings with a dynamic mix of natural beauty and multicultural influences. This ever-evolving artistic expression brings her deep joy, allowing her to reflect on life's changes and channel her emotions into her art. Each piece carries a personal and emotional significance, which has recently led her to explore a new, spiritually inspired body of work.
