formal training was received at Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney, in 1973/4.  a career in art was not pursued. 

realistic artworks in graphite and charcoal by Armin Mersmann attracted my attention in 2000 and have been working in this medium since then.  

started working with clay, late 2017; small sculpture and agateware/neriage.

Through the use of charcoal, graphite and, occasionally, pastel and paint, studies of what I see are created.

Discovery of form, shape and tone through the use of a minimal range of materials drives my art practice.
